Omg! news: Richard Griffiths, Uncle Vernon in ‘Harry Potter’ Movies, Dies at 65

Rooting against Uncle Vernon Dursley in the "Harry Potter" movies was one thing, but few had anything but kind words to say about the actor who played him, Richard Griffiths, who died Thursday at age 65.
The celebrated film and theater star passed away at the University Hospital of Coventry and Warwickshire in the U.K. following complications from heart surgery.
Daniel Radcliffe, Griffiths' costar in the "Harry Potter" films as well as on stage in "Equus," told The Guardian newspaper he's "proud to say I knew him."

I was nervous and he made me feel at ease," Radcliffe recalled. "Seven years later, we embarked on 'Equus' together. It was my first time doing a play but, terrified as I was, his encouragement, tutelage, and humor made it a joy. In fact, any room he walked into was made twice as funny and twice as clever just by his presence." Read more
