Premier League - City starlet jailed for road deaths




Meppen-Walter, 18 admitted the crime after his arrest for the crash on September 1, which killed brother and sister Kulwant Singh and Ravel Kaur.Ms Kaur's two teenage sons were also injured in the accident, which happened when Meppen-Walter's grandfather's Mercedes C220 hit a Nissan Micra as it emerged from a side street in Manchester.
The 16 and 17-year-old boys have been left orphaned by the accident, with their father reportedly killed in their homeland of Afghanistan, which led them to flee to Britain in 2001. Read more here eurosport

Well, it can't feel nice to be dumped from the biggest TV show in the country, can it?
A source told The Sun newspaper: "To say Tulisa is gutted is an understatement. She's a bit embarrassed to be on the scrapheap when she delivered with Little Mix."
Tulisa, 24,  is also reported to be gutted to be missing out on the hefty pay packet that comes with being an X Factor judge.
"She's thrown away one of the most high-profile jobs in the industry as well as one of the best paid."
"But she simply wasn't up to scratch last year and Simon Cowell had no real option."

Justin Bieber unveils religious new tattoo with Greek 'Chi' symbol inked on his arm


He might only be 18, but Justin Bieber already has a collection of tattoos to make any inking fan proud.
And on Monday night, the Baby singer unveiled the latest addition to his collection - a large cross symbol on his left arm.
But while the tattoo may appear somewhat cryptic to some, the etching is in fact the Greek letter 'Chi' - which means Christ.

The inking is therefore the latest religious tattoo Bieber has added to his array, which already includes a pair of praying hands on his left calf and an image of Jesus on his right. 
Bieber's new tattoo sits just below an equally eye-catching design of an owl which the singer had done last year.
Bieber showed off the design as he made the most of yet another big night out in the capital. 
The singer dressed down in baggy jeans, a striped T-shirt and light denim shirt, with trainers and sunglasses, as he and his entourage partied at Cirque du Soir nightclub. 
The group appeared to be sharing a joke as Bieber hid from the photographers by immersing himself in the centre of the huddle.
Clearly amused by his prank, Bieber was spotted grinning to himself as he kept his head down and made a dash for it.
The teen was later spotted grabbing a bite to eat at McDonald's on The Strand before the group  headed back to their hotel.
The singer is currently in the middle of his UK tour, and has just returned from Manchester, where he and his crew were reported to have clocked up a staggering £500 of room service at one of the city's best hotels.

Insiders revealed Bieber's crew ordered burgers, steaks, chips and desserts at five-star Radisson Blu Edwardian Hotel - all washed down with vodka.
Bieber's X is the latest in a string of tattoos the singer has debuted over recent months. 
A recently-posted picture of the singer's leg shows a ring of roses underneath the praying hands already inked on his calf. 
In addition, Bieber has a crown on the left side of his chest and the Japanese Kanji symbol for music on his right arm.

Michelle Obama has sleeves airbrushed onto Oscars dress for Iranian TV for Argo presentation.

Michelle Obama's Oscars dress was airbrushed in Iran to give her sleeves and a high neckline.

But the gown was too much for strict Iranian rules on the portrayal of women in the media and semi-official news agency Fars made the decision to add sleeves and a high neck using image touch-up software.

Michelle's appearance is the first time a First Lady has appeared at the Oscars. Via a video link from the White House, she praised the work of the film industry  before presenting, with the help of Jack Nicholson, the award for Best Picture.


In Iran, rules state that images of Iranian women on TV must show them wearing a hijab the covers their hair, arms and legs.

But the rules are more relaxed for foreigners, who may be seen without a hijab. Though, as Michelle's dress's additions show, only to a point.


The fact that Michelle was announcing the honouring of Argo, a film based on a CIA mission in the 1979 to extract US security personnel from Iran during the Iran Hostage Crisis, probably didn't help matters either.

The movie has been criticised by some in Iran and for being 'anti-Iranian' and there are plans afoot to release a retaliation film that shows their side of events.

Mohammed Hosseini, Iran's Culture Minister, said that the film 'distorted history' for propaganda purposes.

Andrew Harvey & Denrele Edun Write Heart Touching Tributes to Goldie as She Is Laid to Rest

Nigerian music star Goldie Harvey was laid to rest today Monday February 25th at a private funeral held at Vaults and Gardens cemetery in Ikoyi, Lagos.
The funeral was attended by close family and friends. May her soul Rest In Peace
To honour her, her husband Andrew Harvey and close friend,Denrele Edun wrote heart touching tributes to her.
Here is Andrew Harvey’s tribute to his wife:
“Susan you walked into my life, it was like God sent you as a fresh breath. I still remember your response to my first love message. You said ‘Love killed romeo, sent Diana to an early grave and killed Jack on the Titanic. Forget about love, just have friendship and live long.
Overtime our love grew to a depth I have never known. You were the best years of my life, your smile, your desire to live your dream.”
Here is Denrele’s tribute to his friend:
“My super star friend sways away and I stand watching till she fades on the horizon and someone at my side says “she’s gone”…Gone where?
Gone from my sight, that is all. She is just as gorgeous now as when last I saw her. Her slightly disappearing figure and total loss from my sight is in me, not in her.
And just at that moment, when someone at my side says she’s gone, there are others who are watching her coming over their horizon and other voices take up a glad shout – There she comes! That is what dying is – an horizon and just the limit of our sight.
My lifeline, my lexicon, therapist and support system…we have known lots of pleasure, at times endured ppai, we have lived in the sunshine and walked in the rain. I had acute malaria (was shaking terribly) but performed “skibobo” with you at the Industry Night and Loud&Proud show, I sprained my ankle but still shot your three videos in a row in S/A.
I left my family house and moved in with you and your family right after all the Big Brother Africa madness, I did all the damage control…
I fought every organizer simply cos I wanted you on the bill with me and split my show earnings with you. I dragged you to the American Embassy even if it meant I had to get up at 4am. I endured negative criticism because shallow minds couldn’t comprehend your brand essence – I started wearing block heels (you got me the most fabulous pair of Jeffrey Campbells) and I damned the consequences. I recorded the reality show “Tru Friendship” with you because you went on and on about it and I wanted to please you.
I have been your fierce-alter ego in all your videos, I have fought your fights, endured countless eccentric P.As with you…I can go on and on and this is how you leave me? You chose an eternal sleep over a fabulous life with me? Lest I forget, I ate the entire box of birthday chocolates Bola sent to you!
Phew, I can’t type anymore, I’m playing “Good To Me” (always disturbed you to release that song) and my notepad is a misty mass of my never ending tears. So sad when people who give you the best memories, become a memory!
The Goldie I knew, despite your success and worldwide recognition, still wondered, “Am I good enough?” “Am I pretty enough?” “Will they like me?” It was this burden that made you great…And that made you stumble in the end.
Goldie if you can hear me now, you weren’t good just good enough – You were abso-frigging-lutely GREAT! You sang the whole damn song without a band- you made the picture of a showbiz star look so perfect!
Your parting has left a void, but I will fit it with remembered joy. A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss and oh yes, these things I too will miss. Even though we are separated and for a time apart, I am not alone cos you’re forever in my heart. I will move mountains to continue your legacy, I will crash ceilings to spread your good works, I will break barriers to sell your “market” but above all, I will cherish the awesome times we spent together…You will forever be my source of infinity!

Simon Cowell confirms split from Carmen Electra

The 53-year-old X Factor mogul confirmed the split today from the 40-year-old actress who served as a guest judge on the 2012 series of Britain’s Got Talent according to Omg!.
He told the Sunday People: "I'm now a single man. We spent time together and she is so much fun. But I'd like to find a girlfriend.
"I do particularly like British women but I haven't got my eye on anyone."
Self confessed workaholic Simon also admitted that thanks to his busy schedule- which includes judging The X Factor USA, Britain’s Got Talent and managing relatively well known boy band One Direction- being in a relationship can be tricky.
He continued: "I'm lucky that I have a lot of good people around me. That's very important, especially when you do what I do.
"I'm happy but I would like a girlfriend."

Amber and Wiz, who are engaged, announced late last night that they had welcomed Sebastian Taylor Thomaz into the world.

After a heavy night partying at several post-BRITs soirees earlier this week, Taylor stepped out again last night - but this time on a more romantic occasion.

The 23-year-old appears to have already found a new man to attach herself too, arriving for dinner at the Groucho Club with Tom.

The pair attempted to arrive separately, but were then seen sneaking outside the back door together later in the evening.
